Last year’s Hogmanay Torchlight Procession photos since we didn’t really get organised this time. I did run out at the last minute with the Rollei just to see what I could get. There were quite a lot of people this year. Announcer said 40,000 in total. That’d be 15,000 or 25,000 with torches. There were so many people that even with my knowing some quick routes I only made it to the bottom of Calton Hill where the main celebration is before they closed access. I’d guess that the hill holds 10-15,000. As you can see we did make it to the top of Calton Hill last year. Perhaps I’ll make it again next year.
Bliadhna mhath ùr from Edinburgh. I do hope I have the Scottish gaelic there somewhat correct. The wish is still the same. Have a happy new year and a wee dram and think of us up here in bonny Scotland.
